Optical Assistant/dispenser

Optical World Elsternwick are a patient centric practice offering an exciting and rewarding opportunity for a Reception/Optical Assistant to join our progressive optometry group with branches in Elsternwick and Ashburton.

**About the role**

We're looking for an enthusiastic individual with a passion for eyecare and fashion to provide expert assistance in frame selection and lens dispensing.

**Key Details**:

- Assist patients in selecting eyewear that suits their style, face shape, and vision needs
- Manage appointments and handle patient inquiries
- Maintain a tidy and organised reception area
- Handle administrative tasks with precision and professionalism
- Accurately measure and fit frames, adjusting them for optimal comfort and function
- Perform frame adjustments and minor repairs
- Potential opportunity to manage and create content for the practice's social media accounts

Previous optical experience highly desired but not essential

**Benefits**
- $31/hr, negotiable
- No late nights, may include half day Saturday work

- Basic understanding of optics (training provided)
- Initiative in providing solutions to customer needs
- Retail and sales background
- Familiarity with Optomate (desirable)
- Familiarity with social media platforms and content creation (desirable)
