Albany Creek Retirement Village is seeking a passionate Events & Activities Assistant to join their weekend team on a permanent part-time basis Reporting directly to the Community Manager, you will work collaboratively to run scheduled events, activities and village services for the residents. If you've been working as a Personal Carer for some time and looking for a career change or simply looking to step into a new role, we want to hear from you

This is a permanent part-time role working Saturday & Sunday 9am-5pm, earning weekend penalty rates

**What you will do**:

- Deliver fun, inclusive and exciting events to the residents based on the calendar schedule
- Deliver activities that promotes independence, learning new hobbies and enabling social connections
- Assist our full-time Coordinator with bringing fresh ideas to the village
- Be the welcoming face to all new residents in the community by ensuring they are engaged and supported in their transition to our community.
- If you hold a Certificate III in Individual Support, there is potential to work additional shifts throughout the week

**To be successful**:

- Experience in the Aged Care or Retirement Living industry (desired but not essential)
- A genuine interest in improving the lives of seniors
- Possesses a high level of communication and organisation skills.
- Be creative - we want someone to run FUN events

**About you**:

- Certificate IV in Leisure & Health or Certificate III in Individual Support (desired but not essential)
- Current COVID-19 Vaccination (required)
- Current Police Check clearance (required however we can arrange for you)
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate (required or be willing to obtain prior to commencement)
