**The Opportunity**:
Are you a seasoned network security expert ready to lead transformative change in a dynamic environment?

As our **Network Security Technology Lead**, you’ll play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and supporting secure network infrastructure across Medibank. You’ll be the go-to technical authority for complex faults, strategic product ownership, and driving innovation through automation and Zero Trust principles.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide expert-level support for firewalls, routers, switches, Wi-Fi, and load balancers.
- Lead technical design and implementation of secure network and cloud services.
- Own and evolve technologies like Network Access Control, VPN, and SASE.
- Collaborate across teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions aligned with CIS/NIST standards.
- Drive compliance with frameworks including PCI-DSS, ISO27001, and uplift security posture.
- Champion automation and DevSecOps practices to streamline operations.
- Mentor and coach team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

**Must Haves**:

- Degree in IT or related field.
- 10+ years’ experience with Cisco routing and switching (CCIE certified).
- 5+ years’ experience with Fortinet technologies (NSE7 certified).
- Deep expertise in remote access, NAC, and certificate-based authentication.
- Proven ability to create and maintain detailed design documentation.
- Strong troubleshooting and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience with Palo Alto firewalls and cloud routing protocols (e.g., IPSEC, GRE, GENEVE).
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks and regulated environments (e.g., healthcare, insurance).

**Strongly Desirable**:

- Security certifications (e.g., CISSP, SASE).
- Experience with micro-segmentation and network management platforms.
- Background in mentoring and coaching technical teams.
