mx51 is a payments-as-a-service solution for banks, non-bank acquirers, and other merchant service providers. We are building a payment platform that allows merchants to accept payments in-store, in-app and online, whilst consolidating all their data on a real-time business management dashboard.

Joining us as our newest **Product Designer**, you will be working closely with our Product and Design team and wider engineering group, to shape our products into amazing experiences for our merchants and clients.

This position is perfect for someone with end-to-end UX design experience, including research, the full product lifecycle, and regular usability testing, who is now seeking a more design-centric role.

You're a persuasive storyteller and strong communicator, by turning user insights into compelling empathy-building stories for stakeholders, and presenting design ideas to the larger team in a clear and organised manner. We're looking for a passionate problem-solver who can resolve user pain points through great design; someone who can work autonomously, and really take the lead.

- Be accountable for improving the merchant experience of our products while balancing business and client needs.
- Work closely together with Product Managers to understand user needs and plan, design and execute new projects or product enhancements to improve usability and drive product penetration.
- Create design assets to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, solutions and flows to internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Take ownership and lead research and discovery initiatives related to your squads' strategy and roadmap.
- Contribute to and maintain our design system to ensure design and experimental consistency across our products.

**What you will bring**:

- Solid experience as a UX Designer, UI Designer, Product Designer or similar role - particularly in Startup environment, Fintech, Payments, POS, Banking and/or other merchant based Financial Service.
- Strong experience in tools like: Figma, Sketch, Axure, Google Slides, Powerpoint, Google Analytics.
- Experience in using UX design best practices to design solutions, and an understanding of mobile-first and responsive Design Principles.
- Fluent in user-centered design best practices, and a firm knowledge of Material design and Accessibility best practices.
- Experience designing for accessibility requirements.
- A strong portfolio of successful UX and other technical projects.
