**About the Position**
The Central Procurement and Supply Chain department in Stafford QLD is seeking a casual Warehouse Assistant to join a team that strives to exceed client expectations by delivering quality results on time. Working with a team of highly skilled personnel, and reporting to the warehouse Supervisor and Procurement Manager APAC, this position includes warehouse operational duties. It is required to have a few years of forklift and manual driving experience. Roster is 7.30am - 4pm, Monday to Friday, with overtime as needed and if available.

The successful applicant will be a team player, with the ability to work autonomously with minimum supervision. It is envisaged that this person will be a self-starter who can learn the business requirements from the ground up and who will actively seek to further their knowledge of purchasing and the scientific/industrial industry to better service the business.

This position is open for enthusiastic newcomers to warehouse operations, with a drive for excellence, attention to detail and a commitment to the profession.

**About you**
To be successful you will require:

- Forklift (Compulsory) and Manual Driver’s License
- 2+ years’ Work experience as a warehouse Assistant, Stores person or similar role.
- Physically able to stand, sit, move, squat, walk, and climb during the shift
- Physically able to lift 15 Kg or more
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Able to work independently
- Pays attention to detail and monitors quality of inventory
- Must have some experience using and maintaining excel based records
- Must have warehouse administration experience
- Highly organized and able to store items efficiently
- Must follow all health and safety procedure and regulations as dictated by the organization and the state
- High school certificate and Trades certificate
- Intermediate working knowledge of Excel and MS suite is required
- Familiarity with inventory software, and able to upload data into company system
- Some working experience with ERP inventory management system (desirable)
- IATA and DG certification (desirable)
