**About the role**
This is an exciting opportunity for a technical/logistics specialist to lead a segment of our supply chain management ensuring CSBP continue to provide market-leading product and value to our customers.
Reporting to the Global Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for managing our transport and product packaging supplier relationships, and a portfolio of gold mining customers, to ensure a safe and secure supply chain for delivery of sodium cyanide to customer sites.
You will enjoy collaborating with a range of internal and external parties, ensuring high standards and timelines are met in product delivery, and in a manner responsive to customer needs.
Your role will include:
- Working closely with our product despatch team to ensure a high standard of service in the packaging and distribution of the product rolling schedule.
- Working closely with category specialists and financial analysts to define and scope distribution & product delivery requirements, identify potential supply partners, lead the tender process and finally award service contracts. While predominantly focused on Western Australian customer requirements, you will also support engagement and procurement of international shipping and transporters to support customers in Europe, Africa, Central and South America, and Asia.
- Managing suppliers of product packaging, isotainers, and transport (including shipping and road freight), troubleshooting as required, and driving best practice in terms of our commitment to safety, handling of dangerous goods and customer service.
- Coordinating sodium cyanide supply chain routes, including oversight of driver training compliance, route management plan reviews and ensuring that activities are in line with contractual and statutory obligations.
- Operating as the main contact for AGR’s supply chain and product related queries for your portfolio of customers, including facilitation of emergency response training.
- Visiting customer sites to assess and ensure relevant business, dangerous goods and regulatory standards are met in storage and receival of sodium cyanide.
- Responding to issues and incidents associated with customers and transporters, coordinating investigations to support continuous improvement.
The role involves some travel, mostly within WA, but also within Australia and potentially internationally, with the flexibility to manage your schedule to balance your work and personal commitments.
**About you**
Your success will be supported through on the job product training and technical support in the areas of procurement, commercial to deliver customer satisfaction. Prior knowledge or experience with Sodium Cyanide is not required.
