The Independent Review Office (IRO), within NSW Department of Customer Service (DCS), is currently looking for an Administrative Support Officer to join their team

**The organisation**
The Independent Review Officer is an independent statutory office established under the Personal Injury Commission Act 2020. Simon Cohen is the current Independent Review Officer.

The Officer is supported by an expert team, the Office of the Independent Review Office (IRO). The statutory functions of the IRO include to:

- find solutions for persons injured at work or in motor vehicle accidents with complaints about their insurers.
- manage and administer the Independent Legal Assistance and Review Service (ILARS)
- conduct inquiries into matters arising in connection with the operation of the Personal Injury Commission Act 2020 and the workers’ compensation and motor vehicle accident legislation.

**The role**

You will provide administrative and support services to facilitate the operation of Independent Legal Assistance Review grants process for the Independent Review Office (IRO).

**Key accountabilities**
- Provide a range of administrative and support services, including records management, routine correspondence, administrative support of Resolve system and support the effective operations team.
- Collect and compile information for, and prepare documentation and correspondence in line with quality and organisational requirements
- Complete routine financial transactions and purchasing services, ensuring compliance with standards and procedures
- Respond to enquiries and escalate and redirect issues as required
- Update and maintain records and databases, complying with administrative systems and processes, to ensure that all information is accurate, stored correctly and accessible
- Develop and maintain specialised knowledge, techniques and skills to support the delivery of high quality service

Salary Grade 3/4, with the base salary for this role starting at $75992 base plus superannuation
