**Our journey**
The **Victorian Heart Hospital** will be Australia’s first dedicated heart hospital and is nearing its final stages of construction. It will include a full range of ambulatory and inpatient cardiac care, including cardiac theatres, cardiac catheterisation laboratories, emergency, intensive care and ambulatory services such as cardiac CT, echocardiography and specialist consultation. It will also feature a unique, patient centred model of care. The Victorian Heart Hospital will also play a key role in advancing research and teaching and will be home to the Victorian Heart Institute, a brand new, health and medical research organisation at Monash University.

**A Day in the Life**:
We guarantee that no two days will be the same.
In this important role, you will
- Coordinate and develop the Cardiac Prevention and Rehabilitation service
- Provide expert clinical knowledge and evidence-based management of patients attending VHH for cardiac care across both inpatient and ambulatory spaces
- Lead clinical research, quality and teaching activities including development and implementation of competency-based assessment
- Promote and develop the service by building strong partnerships across Monash Health, with other Victorian health networks, nationally and internationally
**What You Bring**
Working closely with the Allied Health Heads of Profession and Managers, Medical Program Directors and Directors of Clinical Operations you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:
- Extensive experience in the provision of cardiac rehabilitation services including assessment, intervention, and education
- Ability to develop and lead professional development of undergraduate, professional and postgraduate allied health clinicians as well as the wider multidisciplinary team
**On a personal level, you will demonstrate**:
- Advanced level of recognised clinical leadership experience including service development and leading others through change
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to develop and deliver safe, consumer focused care
- Previous experience leading both formal research projects and quality improvement activities
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Advanced skills in organisation, time management, planning and priority setting
**What you need**:
- Relevant Allied Health qualification
- Relevant post graduate qualification(s)
- Current unconditional registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (practicing) - no restrictions or professional based relevant equivalent (if applicable to the profession)
