**About the Role**:
The Head of Middle School Wellbeing is a key leadership role within the College which is responsible for leading student wellbeing and the pastoral program. Reporting to the Deputy Principal Wellbeing, this role is integral to fostering a child safe environment and promoting the College’s values.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Model, inspire, and support staff and students with a focus on continually improving student learning and wellbeing outcomes.
- Support and liaise with the Head of Counselling Services and Heads of Year (7, 8 & 9) with ongoing behavioural/pastoral care/attendance and wellbeing concerns or issues.
- Lead and develop the Middle Pastoral Care Program in conjunction with the Heads of Year (7, 8 & 9).
- Assist with the planning and coordination of events.
**Key Selection Criteria**:
- A demonstrated understanding and commitment to the ethos of a Catholic school and its mission.
- Up-to-date knowledge of wellbeing practices and procedures.
- Knowledge of appropriate avenues and resources for seeking information to support students, parents, and staff.
- Perseverance, sensitivity, compassion, and patience in the face of complex and difficult situations.
- A high level of discretion when handling confidential and sensitive information.
- Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration.
**Position Details**:
- Commencing Term 4, 2025 or later by negotiation.
- POL4 with a time allowance: 0.5 FTE (22 / 44 periods per cycle).
