Dock Operations and Safety Coordinator

**What’s the role?**

Reporting to the Operations Leader, the Dock Operations and Safety Coordinator is responsible for management of the print centre dock in relation to both operational efficiency and safety. You will work closely with the logistics and production teams, as well as the HSS Logistics Representative to ensure a safe workplace via timely, accurate and safe dispatch of vehicles with a focus upon adherence and verification of contractor management safety processes and in line with National and State Transport legislation.

This role is night shifts only and hours are to be confirmed.

**Who you are**
- Critical thinking and problem solving in a Logistics environment
- Exceptional at building relationships and influencing internal and external key stakeholders.
- High level of resilience, and able to manage and mitigate resistance.
- Adaptive to change with an understanding of end to end newspaper distribution
- Understanding fatigue management in relation to driver hours, truck and vehicle capacity, and delivery windows
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to respond to changing needs and shifting priorities.
- Excellent communication skills - verbal, written and listening.
- Experience in Logistics or warehouse management
- Familiarity with the National legislation covering logistics, supply chain, warehouse and transportation operations including but not limited to CoR, NHVR, WorkPlace Health and Safety,
- Solid understanding of transportation and logistics strategies to include route, cross dock operations, and network design.
- Certificate in CoR, NHVR, WHS would be a benefit
