**Functions Officer**

Our client based in the Eastern Suburbs is seeking an experienced Functions Officer to join their busy team who enjoys managing functions, customer service and busy environments. The role is to ensure operations run smoothly throughout functions, dinners, meetings etc.

**Key Responsibilities;**
- Develop, implement and monitor processes and procedures for the effective management of functions and recommend improvements for systems, policies and practices.
- Oversee the preparation of project plans, run sheets, programmes, invitations, seating charts and speech notes for civic and corporate functions as required.
- Coordinate the delivery of various civic and corporate functions, including bookings for users, associated equipment, catering for meetings, corporate functions and staff management.
- Handle enquiries, complaints, RSVPs and correspondence, taking appropriate action in line with established policies and practices.
- Liaise with key stakeholders.
- Adhere to Food principles, RSA guidelines and ensure related licenses are in accordance with the requirements.

- **Event Management qualification or equivalent relevant experience.**:

- **Relevant experience within the events coordinating small to large events and functions.**:

- Previous experience in a Supervisor/Management position.
- Proven ability to write reports, liaise with a wide range of stakeholders and run meetings.
- Proven experience in decision making and problem solving.
- Proven knowledge of Work Health & Safety requirements.
- Previous exposure to developing, implementing and reviewing relevant workplace processes and procedures.
- Efficient and effective communication skills written and verbal, with exceptional customer service skills.
- Well-developed organisational, event management and administrative skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to work both as part of a team and independently with limited supervision.
- Intermediate computer skills and ability to operate Microsoft Office suite of products.
- National Police Clearance Certificate (dated within the last twelve months).
- RSA - Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate**.**:
