To assist us on our current growth trajectory, we are seeking a Design Coordinator to join our Development team of 8. You will be involved in concept, design and the tender process for a mixture of greenfield and brownfield projects. You will collaborate with Project Managers as well as external stakeholders such as contractors an consultants.

**The Role**

Reporting to the General Manager of Developments, your responsibilities will include:

- Assist with the establishment of project concepts and design briefs upon project commencement.
- Support the team in formulating scopes for consultant and contractor tenders.
- Define Principal Project Requirements (PPR) in coordination with the Project Team, clearly setting extent of works, quality, cost parameters and legal implications.
- Coordinate the design process and ensure compliance with budget, programs, approvals, Building Code of Australia, and other legislative requirements.
- Accurately plan and program the design process and successfully coordinate internal and external project related parties
- Ensure documentation contains adequate/clear details for construction. Identify poor documentation details and coordinate with consultants to remedy.
- Manage responses to Request for Information (RFI) and Requests for Change (RFC)

**About You**

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Bachelor of Built Environment (Architectural Studies), Bachelor of Design (Architectural Studies) or Bachelor of Engineering (Civil, Structure) is highly regarded.
- Minimum five years PQE in commercial/industrial construction and relevant experience in project delivery.
- A full understanding of the project management and project delivery process through phases from concept, feasibility, design, DA, BA, tendering and construction.
- Experience with estimating and contract negotiation
- Strong Design skills and a proven ability to plan, program and manage the design process.

**About You**

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Bachelor of Built Environment (Architectural Studies), Bachelor of Design (Architectural Studies) or Bachelor of Engineering (Civil, Structure) is highly regarded.
- Demonstrated project delivery experience within the commercial/industrial construction industry.
- An understanding of the project management and project delivery process through phases from concept, feasibility, design, DA, BA, tendering and construction.
- Experience with estimating and contract negotiation.
- The ability and desire to plan, program and manage the design process.
