Installer of Window Furnishings

Factory Blinds is a long established, locally owned, manufacturing retailer of window furnishings and is located in Launceston, Tasmania, and we currently have a vacancy for an installer of window furnishings.

At our workroom located in Prospect, we make, supply and install curtains, roller blinds, patio blinds, canvas awnings, plantation shutters and a range of other window furnishings, all custom made to suit the individual customer's specific requirements.

We currently have a vacancy for an experienced installer or a suitable applicant with building and/or labouring trade skills that meet our requirements. You must have a skill level in the building industry.

You would commence the job off-siding with one of our installer team members. An average week can see our installer's team working anywhere within the state but predominantly the Launceston and Tamar Valley region, the North-East and Midlands along to Devonport and surrounding areas. You could be working from scaffold, a scissor lift, inside, outside, whatever is required.

You MUST have a current driver's license, be able to provide an acceptable level of a police check, hold or able to obtain a White Card, hold or able to obtain a Working with Vulnerable People accreditation.

The position is ongoing (permanent if you like), but the hours vary from 15 - 38 hours per week depending on workload. Our normal business hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm, no weekend work, no overtime.

Pay rate is as per the relevant award, FWA MA000010 Manufacturing and Associated Industries unless advised otherwise and will be assessed and offered according to experience and skill.

This is not a sub-contracting position, you do not require an ABN. Required tools, equipment and vehicles are provided, superannuation and long-service leave are inclusive, annual leave (if applicable) is inclusive.

Job will remain open till the right applicant is appointed.
