Hays is proud to partner with the New South Wales Electoral Commission (NSWEC) in preparation for the upcoming NSW State Election.

Play a key role within the community and help to facilitate the democratic process which will determine NSW’s future government. This is a unique opportunity to learn new skills, work as part of a team and deliver meaningful work that will shape Australia’s future.

We are looking for several motivated individuals to join the Logistics Team as Pick Packers at the Sydney International Convention Centre.

**About the Position**

As a Pick Packer you will be tasked with:

- Manual handling tasks including:

- Receiving and sorting pallets
- Setting up tables and chairs
- The movement of pallets with a pallet jack
- Trolley movement
- Limited scanning with a mobile device for the tracking of ballot papers.
- Limited management of reconciling receipt and despatch and courier manifests.
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines in a team environment,
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, and
- A positive and motivated working attitude.

**Eligibility Requirements**

Due to the nature of the roles on offer, applicants must meet the following pre-selection requirements:

- Have current full working rights in Australia
- Be over 18 years of age
- Double-vaccinated against Covid-19
- Be able to sign a Political Neutrality Statement
- Appropriate PPE
- Be physically fit and able to perform manual tasks including lifting up to 25kg
- Be able to provide contact details of two referees, including a current supervisor.

Shifts will commence from 14th of March through to 30th of April dependant on position. Please note, applicants that can commit to full-time availability during this period would be viewed favourably.
