Data Test Lead

**Role purpose**

The role would be further focus on adopting DevOps culture, championing ETL testing and collaborate with wider test team and leadership to find the right coverage in E2E Testing & ETL.

**This is a 6 months Fixed term contract role**

**Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities**
- Lead and support the delivery, execution of projects testing needs using industry aligned best practices
- Implementation of best practices for data testing
- Lead in defining testing metrics and build out automated reporting and dashboards
- Lead continuous improvement measures to increase testing effectiveness and efficiency
- Work in distributed delivery model
- Coordinate with other team members, Internal Stakeholders, and Service Delivery Managers for proactive and consistent communications to clients
- Keep up to date with latest trends and best practices in data technology testing
- Drive best practice to ensure Link operates within Risk acceptable toleranceEnsure team consider the end-to-end operational impacts and information security requirements

**Experience & Personal Attributes**
- At least 6 plus years of experience in Data/ETL Testing with tools like SQL Server and SQL Developer
- Experience leading people in data testing
- Advanced SQL skills with the ability to develop efficient queries of varying complexity
- Strong understanding of relational and dimensional Data Modelling such as Kimball and DataVault 2.0
- Create/Update the RTM if applicable and query log with test cases and test data.
- Ability to leverage business, product and functional requirements to create test plans and test cases. Record and maintain testing evidence and track execution status of assigned test cases.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a consistently changing environment
- Demonstrated ability to plan and perform all aspects of software quality assurance activities to successful completion for complex, multi-faceted initiatives that span business and technology.
- Ability to clearly communicate status, risks, issues and recommend corrective actions to meet program and organizational objectives.
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively across matrix organizations in a fast-paced, schedule driven and entrepreneurial environment.
- Proven command of various software testing methods, levels, types, and processes and where they fit in the overall system and produce development lifecycles.
- Demonstrates leadership and team engendering qualities, including the willingness to take on additional responsibilities.Exceptional analytical skills in order to analyse, isolate and interpret business needs and provide constructive input into the project.
