**About us**

85 years ago, Louisa Lort Smith opened a hospital for animals, dedicated to providing quality veterinary care for all. Her far-reaching vision for community-based, accessible animal health services continues to this day.

We are an animal hospital and vet clinic in North Melbourne, and an animal adoption centre and dog park in a new state-of-the-art clinic in Campbellfield. We provide pet therapy services through community outreach and have a dedicated and diverse workforce.

**More than a job**

This is a great opportunity for a HR Administrator or RTW Coordinator ready to take their next step in human resources and further develop their generalist capabilities.

Working full-time at Lort Smith Animal Hospital in North Melbourne, this critical role supports the People & Culture team, managing recruitment, return to work, HR administration, and contributing to P&C projects.

**About you**

You thrive working in a fast-paced environment, where you can put your existing skills and experience to use and are keen to learn and develop further.
- You will have:_
- A friendly, positive attitude with confidence to engage with staff across all levels and areas, building positive relationships and trust
- Genuine care for animals and the mission of Lort Smith, contributing to our culture through modelling behaviours that support teamwork, collaboration and service
- A strong eye for detail, with great written skills to produce accurate employment documentation and correspondence
- Excellent organisational and time management to administer compliance checks, contract renewals, coordinate P&C events and respond to queries
- Experience using HRIS, recruitment software and MS Office to maintain personnel data and HR reporting
- Practiced skills coordinating Worker’s Compensation claims and Return to Work plans; and
- A desire to learn and assist the P&C team implement strategic HR initiatives and projects
