Bakery Wrapper

**Position Summary**
- Bakery Wrapper_

Maintains current product knowledge of Bakery items. Removes product from baking pans and garnishes. Weighs finished products and logs into records. Packages, wraps, and labels baked goods. Stocks and rotates Bakery products onto tables and pallets. Assists with other Bakery duties as assigned. Follows proper Bakery and general safety and sanitation procedures and standards. Provides prompt and courteous customer service.
- Cake Decorator_

Cuts, fills, and masks cakes. Decorates and writes messages on cakes using pastry bags and tips. Packages cakes for special order and back stock. Assists with other Bakery duties as necessary. Follows proper Bakery and general safety and sanitation procedures and standards. Provides prompt and courteous customer service.

**Job Duties/Essential Functions**
- Bakery Wrapper_
- Maintains current product knowledge of Bakery items
- Moves product filled oven racks. Removes product from baking pans and into packaging. Garnishes baked goods according to item requirements. Stacks used baking pans on pan dollies
- Scales finished product and records on weight verification sheet
- Packages and wraps baked goods by hand or with wrapping machine and label
- Moves wrapped products onto tables and/or stocks them on pallets. Maintains pull dates. Rotates and merchandises product throughout the day
- Follows Standard Sanitation Operation Procedure (SSOP) guidelines as it refers to proper cleaning and sanitation of all equipment required by this position.
- Completes and complies with 11 Commandments of Quality Assurance, Food Safety certification and all safety training required by warehouse and Bakery Department
- Assists with other Bakery duties and in other departments of the warehouse as required.
- Provides prompt and courteous customer service to members, employees, and suppliers
- Assists bakers and cake decorators with production on scratch and frozen items.
- Cake Decorator_
- Checks cake order stand for special orders. Checks production schedule for daily needs. Pulls stock from freezer or cooler to fill merchandising area
- Removes product from pans. Garnishes and packages baked cheesecakes, seasonal pies, and cakes. Processes all cakes following assembly instruction in Cake Decorating Manual. Places finished product on racks and transfer racks to the cooler, freezer, or wrapping area
- Keeps decorating area clean and clear of debris. Follows proper Bakery Department, safety, and security procedures and standards

Wrapping machine, scales, labeller, pan dollies, oven racks, commercial dishwasher, apricot glazer, bag sealer, product conveyor, product carts, pallet jack, pie press.
- Cake Decorator_

Oven racks, wheeled racks, cake slicing machine, calculator, wrapping machine, scales, pan dollies, apricot glazer, cake scorer, spatulas, cake stamps, icing bags, tips, commercial dishwasher, knives, labeller, mixer.

- Assists with front end duties and in other departments of the warehouse, as necessary.

Education/Training: None

Licenses/Certifications: None

Experience (Bakery Wrapper): Comparable experience preferred.

Experience (Cake Decorator): Cake decorating or comparable experience.

Knowledge/Skills (Cake Decorator: Cake decorating skills or comparable experience.
