We are the market leader in liquor retail, with a common purpose to ‘Create a more sociable future together’ and we are now looking for our next set of influential and dynamic Category Managers to join our Merchandise team.

**About the Opportunity**

We have exciting opportunities to join our business within a variety of categories at Endeavour Group, where you will be at the forefront of liquor trends and leadership.

We are looking for experienced Category Managers who can coach, lead and develop their team as well as deliver targets on sales growth, profitability and category strategy.

Supplier and stakeholder management is key and you will work closely with category teams to develop strong commercial relationships with major suppliers.

Reporting to the Merchandise Manager, you will be responsible for:

- Consistent delivery and management of category sales & profit metrics (financial, team & customer).
- Negotiate and lead commercial conversations for the category with internal and external stakeholders.
- Continuously leverage data & insights to drive continuous improvement and sustainable growth for Endeavour and our supply partners.
- Build deep knowledge of the industry and leverage best practice to develop and execute a promotional category strategy to deliver KPI’s.
- Collaborate cross-category and across Endeavour to ensure delivery of overall business goals.
- Develop and empower your team to work end to end together, creating a customer first team culture.

**What you’ll need to succeed**:
You will bring to the role a dynamic personality, with strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build collaborative relationships. You will have strong numerical, analytical and negotiation skills as well as proven experience in retail buying, marketing or business development, ideally within liquor.

You will be an engaging people leader with a collaborative working style, be agile in your thinking and adaptable to change.

You will also have:

- Demonstrated experience within a similar career role, ideally within a complex, matrix environment.
- Strong commercial acumen - ability to interpret results, analyse and plan for the future.
- Excellent communication skills (written / verbal).
- A passion for leadership and developing talent.
- Knowledgeable and confident in the world of liquor; Spirits, Premix or Wine experience will be highly regarded.
- Merchandising / Business Marketing / Finance or similar qualifications.
