The Opportunity

KBR’s Defence Business has grown significantly over the past few years following a succession of project wins and new partnerships throughout Australia. To help support this growth and the new leadership forming in Australia, we are looking for a Senior or Principal level Civil Engineer to provide market and delivery leadership for our Defence Infrastructure business. While based in Perth, the role will operate nationally.

The Civil Technical Leader will provide technical expertise, leadership, mentoring to the existing civil engineering team. The role will focus on developing execution strategies during tenders and then leading the execution of the civil infrastructure component of major Defence capital facilities and infrastructure projects. Depending on the project, this would also include the design management of civil, site infrastructure & airfield scope.

**Some of your key responsibilities will include**:
Project Management of Civil engineering tasks, including investigations, and preparation of technical reports, designs and drawings, contract documents and technical specifications

Undertake reviews and verification of engineering calculations, reports and deliverables completed by others within the team.

Lead the delivery of design documentation and drawings completed by the project team

Supervise project staff and review deliverables to ensure compliance with technical and quality assurance standards

Prepare or lead the proposal and project teams to prepare technically sound, well written and easily understood proposals, reports, technical specifications, and calculations

Achieve or exceed budgets for assigned projects / proposals

Demonstrate an understanding of client needs and achieve a high level of client satisfaction

Actively maintains and enhances technical reputation and relationships in the Defence sector
