**The Role**
Our Food & Pharmaceutical Division operates a modern laboratory in Melbourne (Scoresby) equipped with the latest in analytical technology. We are seeking a Casual Laboratory Technician to join our high-performing, client-focused Microbiology team.

The successful applicant will receive training and support in the technical components and procedures of the role and in a wide variety of processes associated with working in a modern laboratory.

**The Day to Day**
Responsibilities include:

- Processing food, pharmaceutical and water samples for microbiological analysis.
- Ensuring samples are analysed within set timeframes and to the relevant analysis standard.
- Ensuring client turnaround times are met.
- Supporting efficient and safe operation of the laboratory.

**The Essentials**
- Minimum of a laboratory certificate or Diploma in Microbiology.
- Excellent attention to detail, communications and organisational skills.
- Dedication to safe, quality laboratory practices.
- Strong commitment to client service
- A positive work attitude, willingness to learn new skills and to be a great team player.
- Ideally, experience in a high throughput, client-focused environment.
- **Capacity to work Monday to Friday (10.30 am to 6.45 pm).**
