We are seeking a Safety Advisor to our team. Reporting to the Manager, Public Transport Operational Safety, The Safety Adviser is responsible for:

- Delivery of safety and risk functions, to assist in the achievement of Passenger Transport Services’ objectives that comply with the _Rail Safety National Law (South Australia) Act 2012_ (RSNL) and associated Regulations as well as the _Work Health and Safety Act 2012_.
- Provide supervisors, managers, and Directors expert technical advice on Rail Safety and WHS related issues.
- Actively coaching supervisors, managers, and Directors on their responsibility for managing these Rail Safety and WHS issues.

**Qualifications/Experience**
Tertiary qualification and/or similar experience in Safety, Lead Auditing, or other safety related disciplines is highly desirable.

A current driver’s licence is essential.

**Special Conditions**
A National Police Check (NPC) is required prior to employment with the Department for Infrastructure and Transport which must be renewed every three years.

This position has been identified as a Rail Safety Worker and has been classified as a Category 4 Non-Safety Critical Worker.

Some out of hours and weekend work, along with some intra/interstate travel requiring overnight stays, may be required.

**Tenure of Vacancy**
Temporary appointment up to 15 months.

**Remuneration**
ASO6 - $98,478 to $104,165 pa + superannuation.
