**Disability Support Worker (Auslan-Fluent) - Community Access | Macquarie Fields/Campbelltown**

We’re looking for a **genuinely fluent Auslan** support worker (not a learner or recent grad) to provide 1:1 **community access** supports for a Deaf adult in the Macquarie Fields/Campbelltown area. This role is in-person, approx **2 hrs/week to start** (weekday daytime), with potential for extra hours as goals progress.

**What you’ll do**
- Provide 1:1 community access and Deaf-aware support in **Auslan** (appointments, community activities, workplace/communication practice).
- Support goal work: independence, communication with family/peers, employment readiness, and community participation.
- Complete brief progress notes and coordinate with NDC and the participant’s support team as needed.
- Light incidental assistance only if required during community time (no complex personal care).

**Must-haves (non-negotiable)**
- **Fluent Auslan** — able to converse naturally at speed in everyday settings. _(This role is not suitable for learners or recently certified beginners.)_
- Demonstrated experience supporting **Deaf/HoH** people and Deaf culture awareness.
- **NDIS Worker Screening Check (NDISWC)** — current/cleared.
- **NDIS Orientation Module (“Quality, Safety and You”)** — certificate.
- **First Aid (HLTAID011)** and **CPR (HLTAID009)** — current.
- **National Police Check** (within last 12 months or willing to obtain).
- **NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC)** (or willing to obtain).
- Reliable, registered, and insured **vehicle** + valid driver licence.
- Smartphone for rostering/notes; full **work rights in Australia**.

**Nice to have**
- Cert III/IV Individual Support, Disability or Community Services.
- Mental Health First Aid; employment support experience; local area knowledge.

**Hours & pay**
- **~2 hrs/week** to start (weekday daytime; flexible by agreement).
- **Kms reimbursed** at NDIS rate when applicable.

**Experience**:
