**Quality Manager - Appliance Design and manufacturing**
**Our Client**
This leading Australian ISO 9001 business is at the forefront of **product Innovation and Engineering**. They have an exceptional range of products serving multiple local and global markets. With strong growth currently being experienced and expected to continue this company is looking to secure the services of a proven Quality professional to drive continuous improvement of quality processes with overseas suppliers.
**The Role on offer**
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, your role will be to take ownership of the quality function from end to end. You will manage a large number of overseas suppliers who supply finished goods made to specifications.
The role will require a hands on Quality professional who is able to demonstrate previous experience writing procedure documents, manage RMA issues and work with relevant departments and suppliers to identify causes and solutions to those issues - Take ownership of all documentation of all supplier nonconformance and you will track and report all issues from initiation to closure. You will conduct ISO 9001 audits and manage 3rd party inspection reports.
You will work with suppliers on all quality matters and help them develop strategies to improve. This role is responsible for the Development, Implementation and maintenance of the QMD and QA / QC procedures.

**Selection Criteria**
- Strong Knowledge and understanding of **ISO9001 in an outsourced manufacturing environment / importer**:
- 10 Years experience in QA/QC at a senior level where you have owned the quality function where finished goods are being received
- **You are used to working in hands on roles and will be comfortable being hands on with tasks such as Incoming goods inspections and testing when required.**:
- You have investigated and managed quality issues with** external manufacturing partners.**:
- **You have previously honed and developed new processes to improve quality from end to end**:
- **Exposure to and experience with 8D processes.**:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in engineering or quality
- Strong Knowledge of project management, stage gate new product development methodology
- Effective business communication skills and experience
- Methodical approach
- Proven ability to analyse process issues and provide relevant reporting
- Experience in root cause analysis in engineering.
- Proven experience working with overseas suppliers
