**Who are we?**

Macpac is New Zealand's original outdoor brand. Founded in Christchurch in 1973, we've made it our business to show people that life is better when you're outside. We're a socially conscious business, and we operate in a way that is both ethical and sustainable. As a leader in the outdoor retail space, we have a responsibility to protect and preserve our wild places, and we take that responsibility very seriously. **To be successful in the role**

This is a position in a high paced, high turnover environment. To be considered for this role you will ideally have;
- Senior retail experience in a management position
- Proven ability to lead by example and give the best customer service
- An unmistakable talent and passion to provide a motivational, inspirational atmosphere for your team.
- Confidence to manage differing personalities in a team environment
- Strength in offering ongoing comprehensive training, as well as driving floor sales
- Experience in visual merchandising, stock control, health and safety, store security and basic financial reporting will be called upon regularly
- Experience with outdoor clothing and equipment is preferred but not essential... a passion for the outdoors or travel is preferable.
