**Your new company**
This well-known Federal Government Department is seeking two enthusiastic APS6 Project Officers to join one of their sections that delivers projects relating to Australia's external territories and delivers a broad range of complex capital investment projects, procurement of complex service management contracts and the contract management of major service contracts.
**Your new role**
You will perform administrative tasks, project management and contract management services under the guidance of the Project Director. Your duties will include but are not limited to:
- Undertake various project management tasks in the procurement of service delivery contracts and projects.
- Assist in the engagement and management of external contractors and specialist advisers to ensure successful project delivery.
- Assist in the provision of financial reporting on the program.
- Prepare briefs and minutes to senior officials and project steering committees.
- Review contract documentation and assist in contract negotiations and final contract execution.
- Conduct procurements using Department and/or Commonwealth templates.
- Perform contract management responsibilities.
- Assist the work of the section as directed.
**What you'll need to succeed**
To be considered for this role you will need to be an Australian citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance at the Baseline level or higher.
