Tasting Room Sales

Giant Steps is an award-winning producer of Yarra Valley wines based in Healesville. In operation since 2003, we have built an enviable reputation for quality, precision and attention to detail.

This is an exciting time to join our growing team. Giant Steps are currently renovating our Healesville Tasting Room with plans to open a wine bar, shop and premium tasting experience space.

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, highly motivated and will enjoy working within a small team. You’ll have Cellar Door or wine sales experience, RSA certification and a passion for premium wine.

Key Responsibilities include:

- Providing visitors with a memorable experience. You’ll use your wine knowledge and exceptional customer service skills to guide customers through a journey learning about our history, vineyards and winemaking whilst tasting our exceptional wines.
- You'll act as a brand ambassador, hosting tastings with a high degree of professionalism, displaying superior wine, brand and regional knowledge.
- You will assist with Tasting Room operations including opening and closing procedures, sales management, bookings, stock management and ensuring a high standard of presentation is adhered to.
- Assisting with packing and dispatching online and phone orders to ensure efficient and timely delivery.

Technical Competencies
- Outstanding skills in communication & customer engagement
- Wine sales experience
- Flexible, engaging and approachable
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and individually.

Qualifications/ Licenses
- WSET qualifications (not essential but viewed favourably)
- Responsible service of alcohol certificate
