**The Opportunity**

An exciting opportunity exists for a **Research Assistant** to join the Methods in Evidence Synthesis Unit at Monash’s School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine. This role will contribute to innovative research evaluating methods to enhance the quality of systematic reviews of health research.

You’ll primarily work on a high-impact project that supports the creation of an automated tool to evaluate how well systematic reviews adhere to PRISMA 2020 guidelines — an international standard in health research reporting. Your responsibilities will include identifying and annotating systematic review reports, supporting an ongoing trial of an app designed to improve reporting quality of systematic reviews, and collaborating with experts in methodology, biostatistics, and clinical research.

**About You**

We’re looking for someone with:

- An Honours or higher degree in a relevant field
- Experience in, or strong understanding of, systematic reviews and meta-analysis
- Familiarity with PRISMA 2020 reporting guidelines
- Strong analytical, research, and academic writing skills
- Excellent communication and time management abilities
- A collaborative and proactive mindset

Experience with annotation tools and research databases (e.g. PubMed)will be highly regarded.
