**The Position**:
This position is based at our _Lutwyche office in inner North Brisbane._ The position works as part of team our Brisbane North LAC team as well as part of our broader regional team of ILCs committed to making a difference and building a more inclusive great Brisbane

The primary purpose of this role is to work as part of our Brisbane North LAC Program to assist people in the LGBTIQ+ community with a disability to access the supports they need to live full lives in the community. The role will specifically build on and strengthen relationship with relevant community and mainstream organisations relevant to members of the LGBTIQ+ community with a disability (both NDIS participants and non-participants), their families and carers. The role will also work to positively impact long-term sustainability and growth of culturally safe and inclusive practices in all Carers Queensland NDIS Local Area Coordinator Partner in the Community Service Areas to ensure LGBTIQ+ people with disabilities, their families and carers can contribute to community prosperity and participate in community life.

**Some of your key responsibilities will include**:

- _Implement relevant aspects of our region’s Community Capacity Building and Engagement Plan using a project management approach for inclusion._
- _Deliver strategies that engage LGBTIQ+ people with disability, families and carers, as well as relevant sections of government, business and community sectors._
- _Develop strategic, collegial and productive relationships, within and external to Carers Queensland, to ensure the best outcomes for clients, the program and the organisation._

**Do you have?**:

- **_LGBTIQ+ Lived experience_**:

- **Experience working / building effective working relationships across LGBTIQ+ community, groups and organisations?**:

- **_Extremely high-level communication skills (both written and verbal)_** and the ability to build rapport and adapt skills according to the audience or target group involved?
- **Demonstrated project management experience** with the ability to design, develop and implement project plans while being adaptable to the ever-changing landscape of our community and their needs?
- Excellent decision-making skills including the **ability to analyse need and measure risk?**:

- Demonstrated experience working in the human services sector?
- Demonstrated experience in undertaking a range of **capacity building activities to assist individuals and/or communities to reach a desired outcome?**:

- Qualifications in Project Management, Disability, Community Development, Education, Human Services or similar?
