**Job description**:
Our client is currently seeking an ASO5 Student Communications Officer and an ASO5 Schools Communications Officer to join the team within a State Government Department based in the Adelaide CBD.

The Schools Communications Officer will support the work of the Student Experience Project Manager to work towards best practice comms for our VET for Secondary Schools (VFSS). The Schools Communications Officer will develop and coordinate EDMs, video and digital products, and website copy, and will be responsible for developing and implementing a VFSS communications plan and

The Student Communications Officer will support the development and dissemination of diverse communications and engagement activities to students and stakeholders. Through the development and coordination of student events, video and digital products, and website copy the Student Communications Officer will design and deliver communications to students in collaboration with key stakeholders. The Student Communications Officer will provide expert communications advice and produce high-quality products, and will support a review of existing communications products in the Student Experience Directorate

**Responsibilities may include but are not limited to**:

- Support the development and implementation of a student communications and engagement strategy and associated campaigns
- Ensure that accessible, plain English content, and timely communications are developed for all student/stakeholder communication channels, as they relate to the Student Experience Directorate.
- Create written content and facilitate the development of visual and video products to a high standard, within an integrated content strategy across multiple platforms and channels
- Monitor and report communication performance to identify successful strategies and activities, take corrective action where necessary, and make recommendations for future improvements and initiatives.
- Build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships, including student advisory groups, external partners, and suppliers to ensure alignment across communication activities.
- Coordinate the development of internal and external communication activities and products for the Student Experience team, including the Student Newsletter, Student Voice Forums, staff engagement activities, and presentations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to develop communication strategies, frameworks, evaluation methodologies, and governance structures, such as policies and procedures.
- Experience in delivering digital campaigns
- Advanced skills in the production of high-quality communication products, including researching, analysing, evaluating, and implementing creative solutions
- Relevant qualifications and/or experience in communications, marketing, and/or public relations
