**Description**:
As a Team Leader Machine Operator, you will be responsible for overseeing the operation of machinery and leading a team of machine operators to ensure smooth, efficient, and safe production processes. Your role will involve hands-on machine operation, as well as team leadership, troubleshooting, and maintaining high standards of production quality.
You will join our Wacol team at our brand-new site, reporting to Operations Manager. The role will include but will not be limited to the following responsibilities:
**Some key responsibilities will include**:

- Supervise and support a team of machine operators, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Conduct regular quality checks and ensure that all products meet company standards and specifications.
- Identify and resolve machine malfunctions or production issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Plan the workload of the team.
- Identification of production improvement opportunities.
- Implement LEAN Manufacturing initiatives whilst monitoring the quality and safety KPI’s.
- Maintain quality standards.
- Operate machinery as per the relevant Safe Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Achieve consistent output from similar input on daily, weekly, monthly, or quarterly basis.

To Be Successful
- Experience leading a team in a hands on capacity.
- Experience preferred in Reinforcing Steel, (desirable but not essential)
- Experience operating cranes, machines and loading trucks.
- Previous experience working within a manufacturing/production environment.
- Strong Work Ethic and Reliable
- Safety Conscious
- Excellent Communication Skills
