We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced **Restaurant Supervisor** to join our team at our vibrant and authentic **Japanese restaurant** in 1/239 King St, Newtown NSW 2042. As Supervisor, you will play a vital role in managing daily front-of-house operations, supporting staff, and ensuring an exceptional dining experience for all guests.

This is a hands-on leadership position, ideal for someone passionate about hospitality and Japanese cuisine, with a commitment to service excellence and team development.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Oversee daily front-of-house operations, including staff supervision and guest service
- Lead and motivate the team to deliver outstanding hospitality and authentic Japanese dining experiences
- Train, mentor, and support staff to uphold service standards
- Manage reservations, seating plans, and guest flow during peak times
- Handle customer feedback and resolve issues professionally and promptly
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety regulations
- Assist with rostering, stock control, and inventory management
- Work closely with kitchen staff and management to ensure smooth operations

**Requirements**:

- 2+ years of experience in a supervisory or team leader role in a hospitality setting
- Strong understanding of restaurant operations and front-of-house service
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Passion for Japanese cuisine and culture
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required
- RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certification (required)

**Desirable**:

- Experience working in a Japanese or Asian-style restaurant
- Barista or sake/wine service knowledge
- Hospitality qualifications or certifications

Pay: $30.00 per hour
