**ABOUT THE ROLE**

TAFE NSW are seeking Part Time Casual Teachers of Building and Construction to work across multiple Campus locations within the Western Sydney area, such as Nirimba, Castle Hill and Meadowbank. The role is responsible for a range of activities, which supports learners in the delivery of both the Certificate IV CPC40120 and the Diploma CPC50220 and enhances the student learning experience.

**ABOUT YOU**

You will be committed to keeping industry relevant and current to ensure your students are prepared to meet the demands of this engaging industry.

Student outcomes are about more than the course material, industry current equipment and having a great teacher. To succeed in the role, you can maintain your professionalism whilst building an approachable and personable rapport with your cohort of students.

As we equip our people with the tools to provide an innovative educational experience, you will need strong digital literacy capabilities to evolve with this changing learning landscape.

To be successful in this role you must:

- Hold the Certificate IV, or above qualification in Building and Construction and Management, or equivalent.
- Have a minimum of five (5) years relevant, and post-qualification, experience in industry relevant to your qualification/s. With the ability to understand the content of the learning materials and the processes used in the discipline.
- Have demonstrated experience as either a project manager, contracts manager, site manager, estimator or licenced builder, or general foreman on large construction projects.
- Hold the TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or the TAE40110 qualification with the required additional upgrade units, or higher-level qualification in adult education.
- **All qualifications and certifications need to be acquired locally and related to Building and Construction, please note that foreign qualifications and certifications are not accepted.**

Considered highly desirable is proof of membership of a relevant professional body to at least Associate or Corporate (Chartered) level, however this is not essential.
