Our Operations team are looking for a qualified Maintenance Fitter to join our team at our Dandenong South site on a permanent full-time basis.

About the Role

Our Maintenance Fitter is responsible for the maintenance, repair and installation of our machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out regular routine machine and equipment inspections
  • Performing monthly preventative maintenance on all equipment on-site
  • Proactively maintaining the spare parts inventory
  • Identifying and solving breakdown issues
  • Install new mechanical components and systems as required
  • Ensuring compliance with our workplace health and safety standards

About You

As an experienced Maintenance Fitter, you will hold a Mechanical Trade qualification with a minimum of 5 years post trade experience.

Ideally you will have worked in an FMCG manufacturing environment, with experience in production and packing of food products and a good understanding of packing machines. Tig/Mig welding experience will be highly regarded.

You will have an analytical and methodical approach to problem solving and love to identify opportunities for improvement. You will have an excellent safety focus and a solid understanding of Australian Standards safe work practices.

Hours will be Monday 7am – 3:30pm and Tuesday – Friday 7am – 3pm with flexibility to attend site on call out where necessary to facilitate maintenance support.
