**Position Information**:
Murray Farm Public School has earned a reputation for academic, sporting and cultural excellence. The school draws students from established areas in Carlingford, North Rocks and West Pennant Hills. The current enrolment of 943 has a Non-English Speaking Background (NESB) population of 8.5%. Less than 1% of students identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. The school delivers quality learning design, through conceptually planned curriculum, that is differentiated for the needs of all learners. Murray Farm PS is one of only four NSW Department of Education bilingual schools currently delivering Japanese K-6. The school also runs a challenge program across grades 3-6. A wide range of extra-curricular activities is available to students, including valued strings, band and choral programs. We celebrate student leadership opportunities through a large leadership team, including an active SRC. Teachers engage in collaborative High Impact Professional Learning to deliver innovative, evidence-based teaching and learning. The school values three-way partnerships between students, teachers and parents. The involved parent body, led by a dedicated P&C has high expectations and contributes to the inclusive culture that supports all students to achieve their potential. **Selection Criteria**:
In addition to the general selection criteria, approval to teach infants and/or primary
- Successful teaching experience with demonstrated capacity to initiate and lead improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice.
- Evidence of current research-based practices, including high performance and gifted education, to improve student learning outcomes and lead staff in collaborative and innovative learning environments.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build, maintain and engaged in productive educational relationships with students, staff and parents.
**General Selection Criteria**:
1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs
3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams
4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents
5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning
6. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policies
