**About the Role**

An exciting opportunity to be part of Darwin Life Extension (DLE) project Based at Wickham Point, with Adelaide, Perth or Darwin as the Point-of-Hire, the primary objective of this position is to Lead the commissioning planning and execution activities for the Darwin Life Extension (DLE) project.
- This position is offered on a 2 Year contract or up to conclusion of DLE project._
- _Frequent travel to Darwin is required._
- _This is a Monday to Friday work schedule._

Accountabilities are delivered in line with the Santos company values and Santos Management System (SMS). Key responsibilities of the role include:

- Ensure EHS requirements, culture and standards are met by Santos’ personnel and contractors.
- Identify and mitigate EHS risks by leading and participating in formal HAZID/risk assessment workshops and general constructability discussions, as well as ongoing vigilance during daily site construction activities.
- Support DLE Shutdown & Operations Interface Lead through commissioning preparation, execution, completion and hand-over to Operations.
- Lead in the promotion of HSE policies and initiatives with all execution personnel.
- Develop Project Start-Up and Commissioning Plan and execution strategies.
- Participate in development and management of the commissioning and start up budget.
- Interface with Darwin Life Extension project leads, DLNG Operations and Santos engineering.
- Coordinate and support the Santos the Ready For Start Up (RFSU) process as required
- Manage commissioning contractors and service providers.

Role specific responsibilities are:

- Lead the development of the DLNG commissioning strategy and documentation to ensure a safe and efficient commissioning of the DLNG facility.
- Contribute to the development and updates of commissioning processes/procedures.
- Maintain a strong working relationship and a high level of interface with DLE Stakeholders.
- Work closely with Completion Coordinator to prepare the Completion Database System for the DLE project.
- Provide direction and advice on construction/commissioning matters and supervise contractors working on site as required.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimise team performance and deliverables.
- Monitor the construction contractors’ performance and identify opportunities for cost and schedule improvements.
- Proactively identify and mitigate against all forms of project risk.
- Compliance with the Santos Management System (SMS).
- Compliance with the Santos Delegation of Authority (DOA).
- Compliance with the Santos Corporate Governance and Safety requirements

**About You**

We are seeking for professionals with experience in:

- Extensive experience in leading the commissioning and start-up of Oil and Gas or Process facilities.
- Demonstrated experience in supervisory or in a leadership role within a shutdown environment or significant maintenance execution experience, and/or Project Construction Management Experience.
- Extensive industry experience in Oil and Gas, Power or Process facilities.
- Proven experience in the use of project management systems and tools in the delivery of major projects.
- Demonstrate the ability to integrate the different interests and goals of the various stakeholders into one set of project goals and objectives to be achieved.

Ideally, you will be degree qualified or demonstrate significant training and experience in commissioning and start-up of Oil and Gas or Process facilities.
