**The Opportunity**
The **Accounts Payable Manager** is responsible for overseeing a team of 6 Accounts Payable professionals and providing general support to the overall finance team relating to financial functions as directed by the Finance Services Manager. A true opportunity for an AP expert, that is wanting to embark on a role that will be a centric leadership opportunity. You will be a key driver to achieve optimal process and procedural success, whilst supporting the team in achieving weekly and monthly outcomes.
**Your day-to-day**
No two days are the same; this role is diverse, with depth and breadth to cement your career, now and into the future. Areas of core responsibility include, but are not limited to:
- Management of the Accounts Payable team and ensuring they are all performing their key responsibilities to the required level.
- Ensuring consistency of invoice codings, descriptions, etc. and adherence to current Delegation of Authority
- Develop the capabilities of the Accounts Payable team, including coaching and leading the team in line with G8’s values and behavioural competencies.
- Management of Accounts Payable systems, controls and records.
- Review of all payments to ensure they are accurate and paid in line with G8 policy
- Liaise with suppliers to ensure all supplier enquiries are appropriately addressed in a timely manner.
- Lead EOM process and ensure all related deadlines are adhered to.

- Previous Accounts Payable Management or team lead experience in a large organisation is essential
- Ability to effectively manage team members to deliver outcomes
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong client-focused approach to work with the ability to problem solve and identify appropriate corrective action.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
