**Shift Schedule**: 24/7 rotating roster, including morning, evening, and sleepover shifts.

**Job Type**: Permanent Full Time - 38hours/week

**Annual salary range**:$72,000 - $80,000 (based on SCHADS Award Level 2.4, with typical shift loading and allowances applied)

We are seeking passionate Disability Support Workers to join our culturally aligned SIL care team in Burwood.

**Position Criteria**:

- Experience supporting individuals with dual diagnosis (both mental health and physical disabilities)
- Willingness to provide personal care
- Proficiency in using manual handling equipment
- Flexibility to work across a variety of shifts, including overnight

**About Ample Life**

Ample Life is a provider of Supported Independent Living (SIL) and Respite Accommodation (MTA/STA) for NDIS participants across Sydney. We specialise in culturally and linguistically aligned care services to participants from diverse backgrounds such as Chinese, Indian, Vietnamese, Spanish, Indonesian, Korean, Italian, and many others.

In each of our homes, our participants and carers share the same language and cultural backgrounds. This means that there are no language barriers. There is cultural sensitivity in our communication and care. Our participants get to enjoy food from their native cuisine on a daily basis just like at home. We play games, music, and TV from our participants’ native countries. Our homes feel like home.

**About the Role**

As a member of our SIL Care Team, you will be responsible for providing the best possible care to our residents. You must have prior experience in providing care to NDIS participants. You will work under the direction of our SIL Team Leader and provide participants with the support that aligns with their goals and care plans, assisting them in achieving independent living.

**Your role includes**
- Supporting the participants with their daily routines, including supervisory, personal care, and social support.
- Maintaining accurate progress notes and incident reports during shifts, documenting participant goals, achievements, and any issues that may arise.
- Communicating effectively with participants, their families, and other support staff to ensure that individual needs and goals are met, while maintaining a high standard of best practice solutions and promoting accurate documentation/records.
- Adhering to health and safety guidelines and identifying and reporting any hazards or incidents to ensure a safe and healthy living environment for participants.
- Supporting participants in maintaining their independence and promoting their personal development by engaging them in community activities, and implementing programs centred on their individual needs and interests.
- Participating in training and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills related to disability support and improve service delivery.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals such as doctors, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists to provide coordinated care to participants and ensure their physical and mental health needs are met.
- Maintaining confidentiality of participant information and respecting their privacy and dignity at all times.

**To be considered for the position, you must have**:

- Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents are encouraged to apply.
- Certificate II in Community Services, Aged Care, or Disability Care (or equivalent).
- At least 1 year of experience working in a similar role, specifically providing care to participants who are elderly or with a disability.
- Relevant experience in providing personal support to people with disabilities, such as person-centred active support, individual skills development, behaviour support, manual handling, and personal care.
- Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team, good communication, interpersonal and organisational skills, including genuine and passionate commitment to the rights of people with a disability to enjoy fulfilled lives and valued roles wi
