**Job Description**:
The Sector HSE Manager - Chemicals is responsible for driving the continual improvement of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) culture, strategy and compliance across the Toll Chemicals business. The role is primarily responsible for providing HSEQ oversight and support to business leaders and local HSE Managers across Toll’s bulk chemical storage facilities (inclusive of licensed Major Hazard Facilities located in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria).

This role presents you with the opportunity to shape and improve the HSE Management systems and strategy in collaboration with the business, for this sector. You will support your team, understanding that your success is driven by theirs. In turn we offer a robust support network in the broader HSE team, strong operational discipline across your sector and a mature safety culture.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Provide direct onsite HSEQ advice and support to operational sites as required.
- Lead the development and implementation of sector-level HSEQ management systems ensuring alignment to broader Company requirements.
- Monitor compliance with Company and statutory HSEQ requirements, including oversight of auditing programs and associated regulatory engagement across the Toll Chemicals business.
- Establish HSEQ Improvement Plans for the Toll Chemicals business in partnership with business leaders and local HSE Managers, ensuring alignment with broader Company HSEQ plans, objectives and targets.
- Prepare and facilitate regular sector-level HSEQ review forums with senior leaders.
- Promote and support excellent customer relations, including participation in customer HSEQ review forums as required.
- Assist with the preparation of tender responses relating to HSEQ requirements.
- Coordinate sector-level HSE communication processes, including dissemination of information relating to HSEQ Learnings / Alerts and other key changes impacting HSEQ.
- Provide accurate and timely HSEQ performance reports to business leaders and customers as required.

**Qualifications**:

- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health and Safety.
- Auditing qualifications / training is desirable.

**To be successful in this role, you will**:

- 5-7 years practical experience in a HSE leadership role.
- Experience with bulk chemical storage / logistics is desirable.
- Strong familiarity with operation of Major Hazard Facilities (MHF) and preparation of Safety Cases is desirable.
- Experience with supporting multiple sites or a geographically diverse business is desirable.
- A sound understanding of operational issues and challenges faced by line managers in implementing HSE processes and programs.
- Experience in relationship management of both internal and external stakeholders.
- Prior experience with third party auditing and/or accreditations is desirable.
