We are now seeking an experienced and strategic leader to join us as a Strategic Planning Manager, guiding our operations and compliance to the next level.

**About the Role**

Reporting to the General Manager, the Strategic Planning Manager will lead the strategic development, execution, and governance of corporate policies, compliance systems, and long-term operational plans. This role is particularly suited to professionals with strong knowledge of the meat/food processing industry.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop, implement and monitor strategic plans, programs, and procedures to meet company goals
- Conduct policy research and analysis to support sound decision-making
- Oversee the execution and integration of new policies and operational practices
- Target and prepare strategy for Australian export regulations and Asian import policies
- Establish KPIs and performance measures for departments and strategic projects
- Direct the preparation of internal policy documents, board reports, and market submissions
- Advise government bodies, industry groups, and internal stakeholders on compliance, legislative and regulatory issues
- Represent the company in forums, negotiations, hearings and trade-related conventions
- Identify business risks and recommend mitigation strategies
- Collaborate closely with export, compliance, production and senior leadership teams to align planning and operations

**Requirements**:

- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Management, or a related discipline (mandatory)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior planning, strategy, or policy role are preferred
- In-depth knowledge of the meat processing or food manufacturing industry
- Strong understanding of Australian export regulations and import policies in key Asian markets (e.g., China, Japan, Korea, Southeast Asia)
- Proven experience managing teams in large, complex organisational environments
- Outstanding analytical, planning, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to lead change and deliver operational transformation across departments
- Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal English
