About the OPPORTUNITY
We have an exciting opportunity for an Upgrade Ship Liaison to join our Maritime Sustainment Business based in Osborne, Adelaide, South Australia.
This role is primarily responsible for Leadership and guidance during Production Period of the DCE (Destroyer Capability Enhancement) Program as part of the Waterfront Production Support team.
The Waterfront Production Support team will be the prime liaison point for issues captured in Production via Problem Resolution Reports (PIRs), including triage, response and close-out of these reports. It will be expected that this role will have communication with the DCE Waterfront Support Manager, Production Manager as well as the DDGSPO AMSDO in execution of this role's duties.
We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and flexible work arrangements.

**Key responsibilities include (however not limited to)**:

- Lead and motivate the production teams, liaise with and facilitate teams requests for work
- Attend production and planning meetings, provide guidance and leadership to deliver the project objectives
- Review and process Problem Identification Reports (PIRs) and Scope Change Requests (SCR) to facilitate changes to the Main Work List
- Provide direction to, motivate and ensure the performance of the DCE Team on a daily basis.
- Manage Urgent Defect (URDEF) tasking with the respective DCE participants

**As an applicant for this opportunity, you'll have**:

- Demonstrated experience in Project Management in Defence OR Maritime will be highly desirable but not essential
- Experience co-ordinating cross-functional teams
- Understanding of agile methodologies and mindset
- Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to effectively engage with a diverse range of stakeholders and customers.
- Thorough understanding of project management methodology (EVM) and systems, with strong negotiation and influencing abilities.
- Strong problem solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and manage multi task simultaneously
- An existing Australian Defence Security Clearance or the ability to meet
