- Lead operational delivery of regional plans, including, but not limited to, the preparation and review of reporting outputs associated with the data and monitoring undertaken through the program.
- Provide strategic leadership in liaising, negotiating, coordinating and influencing state agencies and key industry stakeholders on planning matters, including representing the department in a range of forums as required.
- Work collaboratively with senior management and stakeholders to ensure project outcomes support the strategic direction of the division.
- Manage the overall delivery of regional planning projects, including undertaking program management, ensuring the various outputs are relevant to a range of audiences (i.e. public facing documents and technical data and information reporting)
- Coordinate, lead and attend meetings, forums, committees and negotiations with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide strategic advice and recommendations to government about the implications of policy changes identified to respond to supply and demand issues.
- Coordinate and prepare quality correspondence, submissions, presentations, briefs and reports on complex and sensitive issues for the delivery of projects.
- Identifying opportunities and develop strategies that will have a positive impact on the delivery of the regional planning projects and escalate these ideas to management.
- Provide leadership and mentor, support and share your technical skills with the team and other officers in the agency.
- Provide strategic advice and support in relation to linkages between regional plans and economic, social and environmental data and trends and regional plans.
Provide high quality, accurate and timely reports, briefings and other documentation when required.
- Lead and manage the timely provision of expert, pragmatic and evidence-based advice to the Director, Executive Director and other key stakeholders on planning and development matters.
