**About the role**:
We are currently seeking a reliable, enthusiastic and experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our team at InfraBuild Wire in Newcastle. You will have support and autonomy in managing the breakdown and preventative maintenance on site. This role offers stability, security and long-term career opportunities and genuine progression. This is a 9-day fortnight position providing work life balance.

The role offers $43.98 - $49.37 per hour (plus $21.45 tool allowance).

**Key responsibilities for this role include**:

- Preventative maintenance
- Breakdowns and troubleshooting issues
- Overhauling fixed plant or equipment
- Compliance with quality and safety processes
- Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering OR Mobile Plant Technology OR equivalent
- Dogging and Forklift ticket desirable
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Ideally background in industrial manufacturing
- Experience in gearbox and workshop rebuilds highly regarded
