Finance Officer Needed, Geelong 5 Month Temp Role - Possible Extension, $34.00PH Plus Super, WFH Split
**Your new role**
As an experienced Finance Officer, you will be responsible but not limited to the following duties:

- Day to day purchasing for all faculties and portfolios, including triage of workflow, raising purchase orders, supplier invoice requests, ad hoc payments, customer invoices to ensure achievement of operational objectives.
- Gain and build an understanding of finance processes across a wide range of functional areas, purchasing practice and multiple systems
- Consult with available sources to gather relevant information and seek the expertise and advice of other people as appropriate
- Support revenue activities including creating customer invoices, and debt management
- Understand local processes, prepare standard documents, manage records, regularly track progress of work tasks and identify key issues
- Deliver effective and efficient outcomes and outputs against team and operational objectives
- Build productive relationships with a diverse range of existing stakeholders and actively seek to maintain positive relationships
- Present information in a clear, structured, concise and tailored way by focusing on key messages and check that messages are understood and meet audience needs
- Any other duties as directed, commensurate with the scope of the position

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Certificate III in Business or a tertiary qualification in accounting or similar field; or an equivalent combination of relevant skills, relevant work experience and/or education/training.
- Knowledge of a finance service area e.g. Accounts payable, accounts receivable, debt collection, purchasing
- A high level of computer literacy skills and ability to adapt to changing environments and systems
- Working with Children Check (Essential)
