**The Role**

The **Facilities Manager **will take ownership of the facilities function on-site and oversee all facilities management services across a key client's environment.

Beyond your technical expertise, we are seeking strong leaders who is a team player, can effectively manage teams, oversee projects, and navigate complex challenges by continuously enhancing your team’s abilities and by supporting your team to deliver to its optimum best.

This position is based in Adelaide, SA and there is occasional work from home.

Travel to different sites will be required.

**In this role you will**:

- Manage all works in a safe manner in line with BGIS and SA Water obligations
- Work with other team members to deliver all work in line with the obligations of the Service Contract between BGIS and SA Water
- Manage the delivery of preventative and reactive work as required
- Undertake project and minor works, including asset replacements and refurbishments
- Support and manage the performance of all sub-contractors
- Collaborate with both the client and BGIS team members to ensure we deliver best-in-class services to the client
- Mentor and support the incumbent BGIS team, helping the team achieve its performance objectives
- Provision of technical and management support to the client including development of technical reports
- Assist in the Development, implementation, and delivery of annual works program.
- Support contract financial performance in accordance with BGIS reporting requirements
- Support the maintenance planning and programming for prescribed maintenance, service and activities
- Provide reporting and updates as required on the performance of the designated portfolio and the performance of service providers
- Support procurement of service vendors

**Skills & Experience**
- Proven success as a Facilities Manager within an integrated services and property model delivering a Property Management, Facilities Management, Project Management and Financial Management Services
- Strong demonstrated experience in management of large-scale maintenance activities
- Extensive subcontractor procurement and management experience
- Strong business acumen with demonstrated business planning and high-level financial knowledge and skills
- Able to respond quickly to change and adopt a flexible/ innovative approach
- Trades or proven technical background is highly desirable
