Federal Hospitality - Local Hotels, operates across Tasmania with a portfolio of 12 hotels, each offering a vibrant mix of bar, gaming, bistro, accommodation, and entertainment services. Our mission? To create good times and be the first choice in community pubs. You might already know some of our venues - The Mont (formerly The Claremont Hotel) in Hobart’s northern suburbs, the iconic Molly Malones in Devonport, or The Waterfront Hotel, perfectly positioned on the picturesque Bellerive waterfront.

We are looking for an enthusiastic leader to take charge of The Valern Hotel, a key venue in our group offering bar, gaming and entertainment to our patrons. We need someone who can be more than just a manager - we’re looking for a custodian of the venue, someone who will drive its success while making it a true hub for local patrons.

**What You Can Expect In A Day**:
As Hotel Manager of The Valern, you’ll be hands-on in the daily operations, leading your team to deliver outstanding service and ensuring the venue thrives. Reporting to the Group’s Hospitality Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

- Overseeing the day-to-day operations of gaming rooms, the bistro, and accommodation.
- Supervising and supporting staff during shifts across the property.
- Managing and maintaining staff rosters to ensure seamless operations.
- Assisting with cost control measures to drive profitability.
- Handling escalated customer inquiries and ensuring exceptional service standards.
- Ensuring compliance with all policies, procedures, and gaming regulations.

**What You Will Bring To The Role**:

- Proven experience in an operational senior management role within hospitality or a related industry
- Strong financial acumen, with experience in managing budgets, controlling costs, and driving profitability
- A passion for customer service and a track record of leading high-performing teams
- Well-rounded knowledge of gaming operations and a strong understanding of relevant hospitality regulations
- Availability and flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
- Current Tasmanian Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) and Responsible Conduct of Gaming (RCG) Certificates.
