**The Position**
- Position Title: Clinical Improvement Coach - Quality and Risk
- Classification: Dependent on qualifications
- Salary per hour (exc. super): Dependent on qualifications
- Hours per fortnight: Up to 80
- Employment Status: Part-time ongoing, part-time 2year fixed-term
- Other requirements: COVID-19 Vaccination

**Role Description**
- The Clinical Improvement Coach works collaboratively with managers and clinicians to facilitate translation of knowledge into practice and improvements in care. Through review of current practice, engagement with key stakeholders, and knowledge of organisational priorities, the Clinical Improvement Coach identifies and targets areas for improvement and builds capacity for improvement at the point of care. Current coaching priorities are in comprehensive care with a focus on falls prevention, and communicating for safety with a focus on handover and documentation, particularly in electronic patient records.

**The Team**
- The Quality and Risk team at Bendigo Health has a primary focus of improving patient care and uses an integrative approach involving all areas of Bendigo Health to achieve and maintain continuous quality and risk management. The team is a resource to assist and support managers and clinicians in their patient safety and quality improvement initiatives.

**Selection Criteria**
- Essential : Tertiary qualification in nursing or allied health
- Essential : Experience in coaching and mentoring to develop critical thinking and clinical expertise of others
- Essential : Proficiency in quality improvement initiatives
- Essential : Understanding of improvement science and knowledge translation
- Essential : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to engage with staff at all levels with a healthcare organisation
- Desirable : Proven ability to work in a team environment
- Desirable : Ability to introduce new concepts through innovation, influencing, negotiating and persuasion skills
