**Eligibility Specialist**:
NSW - Newcastle Workers Compensation Full Time

The purpose of the Eligibility Specialist role is to make decisions on the eligibility of existing claims, focusing on minimising the financial impact associated with claim re-opens, recurrences and reactivations of benefits. The role requires regular communication with internal and external stakeholders to collect relevant information in order to accurately assess liability and entitlements in accordance with workers compensation legislation.

**This will be a 12-month Secondment based in our Newcastle - Honeysuckle 18 office.**

**YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Actively consult all relevant stakeholders to enable collection of all relevant information to make sound liability determinations and provide feedback in regard to determination.
- Understand and actively minimize the financial impact associated with claim re-opens, recurrences and reactivations of benefits.
- Ensure all reactivation, recurrences and reopens are reasonable, necessary and justified under the legislation and claims policy.

**ABOUT YOU**
- Demonstrated understanding of the Workers Industry, laws and associated regulations.
- Experience managing claims in either a Claims Advisor, Case Manager or Senior Case Manager role is desired.
