**The opportunity**
At Silverchain, we’re looking for a dynamic Fundraising Specialist to join our growing Silverchain Foundation team on either a full time or part time basis (0.8 FTE) for a period of 12 months to cover parental leave. This role involves working closely with the Fundraising, Strategic Communications (Comms and Marketing), and Research & Innovation teams to develop, draft and execute direct mail fundraising campaigns, appeals and our regular giving program ‘Sterling Supporters’. The Fundraising Specialist plays a key role in Silverchain Foundation’s day-to-day activities, driving donor communications and shaping the voice of Silverchain Foundation.
This is a hybrid working opportunity, with a great network of colleagues to connect and collaborate with. We are offering this role in Perth, Melbourne, or Adelaide.
**Key responsibilities**
The Fundraising Specialist is responsible for the development and implementation of the organisation’s community fundraising initiatives and donor cultivation. Including:
- Responsible for developing, coordinating and implementing fundraising campaigns and appeals, including but not limited to direct marketing activities.
- Build on existing programs and support new opportunities to increase the income of the fundraising portfolio across Australia, including but not limited to regular giving, major gifts and acquisition and retention.
- Liaise and develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders to identify fundraising opportunities.
- Provide high level customer service and stewardship to supporters, ensuring supporter queries and complaints are handled sensitively and effectively in a timely manner.
- Meet campaign deadlines and budgets, including accurate reporting of campaign expenditure and Revenue.
**About you**
- Minimum three years in a similar role.
- Demonstrated ability to create and distribute relevant and consistent fundraising appeals through Direct Mail and eDM following fundraising best practice to achieve budget goals.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills: ability to write using clear, compelling and grammatically correct language tailored to the needs of specific donor profiles.
- Experience in the use and management of CRM systems, particularly fundraising specific modules or systems.
- Experience in implementing regular giving initiatives, and/or digital fundraising is desirable.
- Ability to cultivate strong donor relationships, ensuring continued support and high retention rates through excellent stewardship skills.
