**About the Role**:
We are seeking skilled and compassionate support workers to assist an NDIS participant with complex support needs. The participant is a young adult living with multiple psychosocial and neurodevelopmental conditions, including Borderline Personality Disorder, ASD Level 2, ADHD, and a significant trauma history. The role involves supporting emotional regulation, daily activities, behaviour management, and community engagement.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide daily living support including personal care, meal preparation, and community access
- Follow and implement strategies from a Positive Behaviour Support Plan (PBSP)
- Assist in managing behaviours of concern through communication-based and trauma-informed approaches
- Ensure safety and wellbeing for the participant, team, and self
- Maintain accurate records of support activities, incidents, and behavioural data
- Participate in training and regular team collaboration

**Essential Criteria**:

- Demonstrated experience supporting individuals with complex behaviours or mental health diagnoses
- Understanding of trauma-informed care and positive behaviour support strategies
- Strong communication, patience, and emotional regulation skills
- Ability to remain calm and supportive during behavioural escalation
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, Blue Card (QLD), First Aid and CPR
- Valid driver’s licence

**Desirable**:

- Mental Health First Aid
- Certificate IV in Disability, Community Services, or equivalent qualification

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Casual

Pay: $41.76 - $45.58 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 37 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Night shift
- Shift work

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)

Work Location: In person
