**About the Role**:
Due to organisational growth, there is a unique work opportunity for an experienced **Health Safety & Environment Manager** to join our Sime Darby Motors team on a **permanent, fulltime** basis based either in **Sydney or Brisbane.**

Reporting to the _Executive Manager Safety & Sustainability - South, _and operationally to the_ Managing Director Motors Australia Retail and the Head of Commercial Operations Australia _this role primarily exists to provide quality safety, leadership, and direction for the Sime Darby Motors Group (SDMG) Australia, driving HSE strategies, cultural change initiatives and programs, whilst driving best practice safety standards to achieve a 'no harm' culture.

**Essential Requirements**:
The successful applicant will demonstrate the following knowledge skills and attributes:

- Tertiary qualifications in Health Safety, Environmental Sciences, or a related field
- Minimum 10+ years' experience in **a HSE leadership** position in blue collar, high-risk industries overseeing a multi-disciplinary team delivering outstanding results and compliance
- ICAM or recognised root cause analysis qualifications
- Previous experience managing OH&S policies and procedures for a multi geographic diverse organisation
- Extensive incident investigation and reporting evidence
- Current working knowledge of Workplace Audit and Assessment
- Demonstrable training or facilitation experience
- Detailed knowledge of current OHS legislation and regulations
- Excellent written, spoken, and presentation skills and familiarity with Microsoft suite software
